It was amazing to participate in a interfaith meeting last night in support of our Muslim friends and neighbors who have been worried about the recent executive order. With just three days notice, over one thousand faith leaders, lawyers, judges, police, politicians, school teachers, and friends jammed into the meeting house and worship center of the Muslim Education Trust in Tigard, Oregon. We heard from a Rabbi, a Judge, the new mayor of Portland, two police chiefs, some commissioners and others, letting our friends know that we care about them and welcome them into our community. A shout out to Wajdi Said for getting this organized. We love you, brother!
